The Vice-Chancellor FUAM, Prof. A. R Kimbir earlier today played host to the Commandant of the Air Force War College, Makurdi, Air Vice Marshal C. I Oghomwen who paid him a courtesy visit.
Addressing the VC, AVM Oghomwen disclosed that since assumption of duty as Commandant, he has been making rounds on tertiary institutions in Nigeria to strengthen existing relationship and to solicit their support for partnership in the fight against insecurity. He urged the University to encourage their students to carry out research in science, environment and other areas that will be beneficial to the Air Force in the fight against insecurity in the country. The Commandant acknowledged the contributions of resource persons from the University to the college and appealed to the Vice-Chancellor to continue with the partnership.
Responding, the VC, Prof. Kimbir welcomed the team from the War college and commended the role of the Air Force in the defense of the country. He subsequently reiterated his commitment to partner with them by committing the University’s resources in the area of research and resource persons for the college.
