The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture Prof. A. R. Kimbir has taken delivery of football kits donated to the University by the organisers of the Higher Institution Football League (HIFL) in preparation to the commencement of the league this season. HIFL shortlisted the University’s Football Team to take part in the league after visiting the University on 6^th July for a sports facilities inspection.

The kits comprising of two sets of Jerseys, five footballs, eighteen pairs of football boots and shin guards were presented to Prof. Kimbir by the Chairman, University Sports Committee, Prof S. G. Solomon who collected the items on behalf of the University after the team draws held on Friday 20th July, in Lagos.

In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor expressed joy that students of the University were being engaged in sporting activities, according to him, such endeavours go a long way in helping students avoid social vices. He promised his administration’s commitment to supporting the League in particular and sporting activities in general.
