The Management of JOSTUM has unveiled a plan to have dedicated and shared facilities designed to power interdisciplinary science across agriculture, environmental studies, chemistry, engineering, and related fields. Centralized laboratories and research hubs now include advanced analytical chemistry labs, environmental monitoring units, soil and water testing facilities, and biotechnology and nanomaterials research spaces.

These shared platforms foster collaboration across faculties, while experimental farms, pilot processing units, and field stations drive translational research in sustainable agriculture, environmental remediation, and food systems. With ongoing investments in modernization and equipment upgrades, JOSTUM continues to strengthen its interdisciplinary research capacity and global impact.

JOSTUM has established administrative structures that actively support interdisciplinary research. The Directorate of Research and Innovation and the Postgraduate School provide coordination, grant facilitation, and project management support for interdisciplinary teams.

The University also operates a Research Policy Framework that encourages cross-departmental collaboration and provides guidance on joint proposals, budgeting, and reporting. Dedicated support is available for identifying funding opportunities, proposal development, ethics approvals, and partnership building with industry and international collaborators.

Furthermore, institutional committees and research clusters are constituted to bring together experts from diverse disciplines to address thematic areas such as climate change, sustainable agriculture, environmental pollution, and public health.
